Pavol Hudák - poet

Welcome to the website dedicated to significant slovak poet. Literary production of this author is charming by its poems having an eloquent hidden meaning. Maybe you would fancy the poetry, which will speak not only to you, but also to the next generation.

Mam, take me along with you for a nettle...
I know, tumbled into there as a three years old boy,
you young and lovely one will rush up
to me to pull me out,
I know, you blow on my burnt body,
even though I will be yelling like a mad.

But it is better
than this
now.

Radovan Brenkus

Hudák is the evidence that trivial words are sufficient for great tragedies, their strength lies in their connection. Like the observer, he turns everything inside out, brings it into difficult human state of mind. Also in this way, poetry par excellence is created.
Hudák’s poetry is about seeing the mad music, about restless, torturing nights, about desperate night phone calls with an unknown voice, about searching for water in time of greatest thirst and about becoming drunk into darkness in order to personally feel the nothingness, maybe in order to find the happiness in this way.
